Why is Comic Sans So Hated?

As the title says, I don't understand exactly why such a playful, unassuming font is so largely detested by those across design spaces. Sure, it doesn't work in a professional manner, but perhaps in simple advertisements or a few indie flyers, it provides a spark that is yet unmatched, in my opinion. Seeming to be clean and straight from far away, Comic Sans often tricks the eye into thinking it's that serious, when it's really not. Take for instance, this presentation of the font in this text bubble.

I would have genuinely no issue with this font here, as it complements the background and as much as the blue/orange color combo degrades my retinas, does its job and stays unique to itself. Then, displaying it on a document or an actual written document, it all falls apart there.

Now this is why Comic Sans is so hated. All mainly from its goofiness, which does not get it anywhere in a professional setting. Therefore, if you like Comic Sans, you are treated as a joke, because this typeface is a joke to whatever it puts itself on. But I think it deserves a comeback, just in a quieter way.
